Giving Back to Our Community: How 6th Street Logistics Spreads Holiday Cheer

The holiday season is a time for gratitude, generosity, and community connection, and at 6th Street Logistics, we are proud to embrace these values not only during the holidays but throughout the year. As a company deeply rooted in service, we believe in using our resources and time to give back, strengthen our community, and support the people and organizations that make our neighborhood thrive.

This holiday season, we had the privilege of participating in several meaningful events that allowed us to live out our commitment to service and charity.

Supporting “Hope for Our City” Food Pantry

For many families, the holidays can be a time of financial strain, and food insecurity becomes an even greater challenge. That’s why we partnered with Hope for Our City, a local food pantry dedicated to providing essential resources to families in need. Our team donated trucks and time to help distribute food and supplies, ensuring that no family goes without this holiday season.

This heartwarming opportunity reminded us how small acts of service can create a ripple effect of kindness and positivity.

Turkey Bingo at the Local School

We rolled up our sleeves and lent our trucks to assist with a cherished community tradition—Turkey Bingo at our local school. This event, which benefits one of our clients, brought together families for an evening of fun and celebration, complete with the chance to win turkeys just in time for Thanksgiving!

Being a part of this event was about more than logistics; it was about showing up for the people and organizations that matter to us. Watching kids and parents laugh, cheer, and enjoy the festive atmosphere reminded us why we love being a part of this community.

Attending the Highland Friendship Club Fundraiser

Our owner, Krista Jans, attended a fundraising event for the Highland Friendship Club, an organization that provides inclusive opportunities for individuals with disabilities. The evening was an inspiring celebration of friendship, inclusion, and the power of community.

Krista’s had a great time participating in this event which mission aligns closely with our own values at 6th Street Logistics. She was honored to contribute to their efforts in creating a more inclusive world and to meet Minnesota Twins legend, Joe Mauer!

A Season (and a Year) of Giving

At 6th Street Logistics, giving back is not just something we do during the holiday season; it’s a cornerstone of who we are. Whether it’s through acts of service, partnerships with local charities, or simply showing up for our clients and neighbors, we are committed to lifting up our community however we can!

The holidays remind us of the power of connection, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to serve. To all of our friends, clients, and community members, we wish you a joyful holiday season filled with love, laughter, and togetherness.

Here’s to a new year of giving, growing, and building stronger communities—together.
